Or any shorthand for it. Though it takes more effort to type out, always use "the President-elect." Rub it in!

This can be done gracefully as it is simply a fact and does not look as if you are being snarky.

9. Remind them that THEY are the minority.

Right wing authoritarians rely on the "fact" that their people--people of similar phenotype and sometimes even gender--are the true majority and everyone else is an insignificant out-group worthy of contempt and hostility.

You can scare them badly by pointing out to them that they are no longer a majority. I'm thinking that for once their lack of critical thinking skills may be an advantage. Some of them, I think, will simply switch sides so that they can feel they are back in charge. But watch out: fear is their primary motivator, and they don't react rationally to it. Some of 'em are sure to resort to violence and threats. All of them will continue to be programmed by the authorities they blindly follow, and those authorities have proven themselves to be so irresponsible that there's no telling what marching orders they'll give.

Hopefully, most will simply retreat into their own thoughts and come back as better people. But I doubt it.
