Look at what a White House populated by sycophants and yes men has wrought. The best way to strengthen and refine your position is to lend a serious ear to the opposition. So, whether Obama picks people more liberal than him, DLCers, centrists, or even moderate Republicans, I don't intend to second guess him.

1. One of the smartest things Bill Clinton did as president was surround himself with people who...
weren't afraid to disagree with him and/or provide opposing viewpoints.

I think it's very possible that Obama will do something similar.

In the Clinton administration?

Seems to me they were all pro-Predator-Class opportunists.

9. He's at least as smart as Bill Clinton. Big Dog 2.0.
I think someone here called Obama that, the other day. It sounds right, to me.

3. I hope that he DOES choose a team of rivals. . .
that is the only way he will ever truly know what is actually going on. It is also the only way that he will ever be able to
unite this nation--BY LISTENING TO THE OPPOSITION AND ACKNOWLEDGING WHAT THE OTHER SIDE THINKS. We've had eight years of a deaf and bullying administration--now is the time for something better.

Obama knows what he is doing and hasn't let us down yet. I certainly don't think that he is infallible but he has demonstrated remarkably good judgment during the course of his campaign. It will become even more crucial as President.

In regards to your post, I believe that he should (and will) have a diverse cabinet with diverse viewpoints and NOT a bunch of sychophants and "yes-men". I do believe that that was part of the reason that he chose Biden for VP. I don't believe for an instant that he even wants THAT in his administration. It's caused too much damage to our country already. The Bush (mis-)administration is perhaps the most significant "cautionary tale" in regards to sycophants and "yes-men" in recent history.

8. I think out leaders including the president should serve the people.
I think we the people should be guiding and supporting Obama to make this country more just, equitable and progressive country. Our forefathers did not design this country or our Constitution for some daddy president to come up with all the big ideas and movements to push our country forward.

The civil rights movement, the women's movement, and the environment moment was not started by any of our presidents. It was started by the people.

10. I hope he assembles a team of the best and brightest.
I wouldn't expect that to include those who sign on to a massively FAILED ideology. Why? What for? If they advocated it, they're failures too. We can do better than that.

If he runs his presidency the same was he ran his campaign, we have nothing to worry about. He has proven to me he knows what he's doing and I will hold any criticism until I see otherwise.

of editors with differing viewpoints than he...no dummie. He has his reasons, I'm sure.

He is going to lead from the middle and will pick advisors to help him do that.

14. Politico is suggesting he's tapped Bobby Kennedy Jr. as head of EPA.
RFK Jr. is dangerously incompetent for the job, and it'd be Obama's first major mistake.

I'm not about to give a pass to any dangerously incompetent cronies in the administration just because they were tapped by a democrat.
