Talk of RFK Jr. for top environmental post...
He would be a brilliant choice, a refreshing change from the line of oil industry shills!

he has a proven record of environmental accomplishment, and knows how to pull all the levers to get it done.
he gets accolades and ovations from both business and environmentalists, and can bring them together to achieve a clean energy future and prosperity.

2. I've read his insightful articles for years.

This man is the one man who has been watching the Bush degradation of the enviroment, and knows exactly what to do to counter it. I've no doubt that he would be head and shoulders qualified above anyone for this post. I'd also love to see him in election reform, but you can't have everything. Perhaps Obama will recruit Brad Friedmann.

On edit: Oops! Freudian slip. LOL.

3. Feels so good

The environment and science has been under attack for 8 years...today the cloud was lifted. Please put Bobby Jr. into this post.

5. He's dangerously unqualified.
He's scientifically illiterate, and suddenly became a NIMBYist when it came to windmills off of Martha's Vineyard.

We've had enough cronyism and nepotism in the Bush administration, but thanks anyway.

7. I wonder about the scientific literacy credentials also. I know there is some distrust of him here
in Maryland in the farm community. He sometimes spouts off with less than a full set of facts. I don't see the cronyism/nepotism connection though? Is he related to Obama or Biden somehow?

6. Great idea. His high profile and passion would make him a wonderful
spokesman/leader for that agency.
