1. Sounded like a film score.
I have expected to see credits rolling at the end of such a happy, Capra-esque ending

3. At the risk of getting flamed
I thought even having music at that point was pretty cheesy. The only music America needed to hear right then was the sound of thousands of cheering people.

4. At least it wasn't some piece of over-played pop with oh-so-poignant lyrics.
It had some dignity to it.

6. I have to disagree. Politics is about both mind and heart. Music can
be misused to aid the wrong cause, but the Obama campaign and just plain people (some of them famous stars, of course!) have used music throughout this campaign to reach the heart and keep people fighting. It's been like having a soundtrack in real life!

7. Heard that it was the music from "Remember the Titans"....
It was the theme from the movie Remember the Titans. You can listen to it on YouTube:

He also played it at the convention after his speech there.

I loved it.

All great moments are eventually set to music. This moment came with a hand picked selection from the principal. Was cool!

10. "Titan Spirit" from "Remember the Titans"
It's fitting, given the theme of the film.
