Did Anyone Notice The Report That Bobby Jindal Will Be Visiting Iowa Later This Month?
I think it was mentioned on some broadcast late last night.

The 2012 race is on folks.

1. Does anybody really think a dark-skinned man has a chance in the REPUBICAN party?

9. I do
I think if it came down to Huckabee, Romney, Jindal and Palin - Palin and Huckabee would split their votes, and Romney and Jindal would be battling it out, and the GOP would figure that the only way to win against what would be a popular incumbant Obama would be the run an exciting minority southern conservative with executive experience.

If Obama was looking like he was cruising to victory no matter what, I think they'd toss Jindal out there to make themselves look more inclusive, if nothing else.

6. I think he will be the top choice of the GOP in 2012 or 2016, not Palin
because he is an intelligent guy who can actually perform well in interviews and attracted people from across the aisle to vote for him (unlike Palin...). But there won't be anyone who can beat incumbent president Obama in 2012.

7. When your party is in this bad of shape, the earlier you start the better
I consider the next two years, before we gear up, to be the Republicans attempt to avoid an '84 type embarrassment.

10. He's Gush Limpjaw's boy wonder.
I can see him pushing a Jindal/Palin ticket already for 2012. I don't listen to the ignorant fuck, my brother is a wing-nut and feeds me this info.

We need to take down their up and comers before they can get started and force them into incoherence.

14. In 2012...an African American versus an American Indian?
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 06:09 PM by galaxy21
Watch the bigots heads explode!

Eh, personally I think it'll be Pawlenty in 2012. Jindal and Romney will have trouble winning over the base, but do well with moderates and Palin will win over the base, but no one else. Pawlenty is the only one that seems like he could appeal to both sets of people.

20. Jindal responded well to Gustav, but ...
I suspect that some environmental policies (or lack thereof) may not play well upriver from Louisiana.

13. There is a nutjob that makes Sarah Palin look sane
I would suspect he might have trouble with keeping his governor job ESPECIALLY if someone like Mitch Landrieu (Mary's brother) runs against him.

I can imagine the army of Dittoheads coming up with some obscure reason to vote for the white, third party candidate.
