Did today seem surreal to you?
After the last eight years of HELL, I felt like a hostage who had been set free! I wasn't sure how to act, other than I kept this big smile on my face--until a McCain supporter nearly ran me off the road:mad: Guess we're going to see a lot of that for a while, but it isn't going to take away the huge sense of relief and happiness that I feel. It is such a stark difference from the depression I was in the day after 2004 election.

What an awesome President we have:bounce:

1. Yes.
And my emotions are not what I expected. I thought I would be floating on a cloud. But, instead I find myself tearing up and feeling overwhelmed. Maybe I am just so tired. But there is this part of me that can not believe that the American people gave Barack Obama such a victory. I really feel as if I am going to wake up any moment and find I was dreaming.

2. I took down my Obama/Biden signs
and put up "Thank you America!" signs and cleaned my garage. After working for Counsel for Change, and having an unbelievably intense day yesterday, I think I needed to check out for a while. The relief is absolutely incredible. I don't think I had realized how nervous I was about this.

3. I felt amazingly good. Until I realized that some people that I cared
about were incredibly racist. It's been a bit bittersweet.

4. Yeah. I think I was in a mild state of shock.
The whole day was just kinda 'do some stuff' and then stop and think "Gee...Wow...".
All day long.

And I put my American flag up on the tree where my Obama sign is.
It's been in 'storage' since 2000.
