2. I think we should have an initiative that only civil marriages are

legal. The hell with the religious ceremonies like the ones where the weird LDS cults marry off little girls to old men.

They have something like that in Germany. Everyone by law gets a civil marriage, and if you want, you may get married by your church of Faith.

We should do that here as well.

Their practice in marrying off their own children to older men is truly perverted and controlling. The fact that they are banning a marriage between two normal and consenting adults just blows my mind away. The irony is overwhelming and too obvious to ignore, but these people keep on trucking - truly bat shit crazy....

My attorney friends are huddled over lawsuits being drafted re: Prop. 8. This will go around and around and around. It is the wingnut fantasy to litigate and otherwise by any means necessary bend this country to their liking, and it is out responsibility to fight back. One foot in front of the other. This is just a set-back because the fight continues.
