McCain Concession Event: Was that two of the chilliest brush offs in American politics er'what?
Sarah, slight little hand shake, finger tipped pat on the shoulder no hugs no kisses just buh'bye...

Todd? If possible an even slighter handshake, almost a slight-of-hand; then a "Hail fellow well met, now get the fuck off this stage"...

Palin's 1st dude looked like he was internally seething with rage. Never have two Alaskans looked as though two caribou in the headlights as they did. The back stage stuff is busting out, but they seem to have been sat down and had it broken down in no uncertain terms; Barney Style: "You two will enter the stage. You two will say nothing. You two will just stand there making no motions, no movements. You two will suck it up. Then you two will exit the stage and go the fuck home."

Barney Style

2. He didn't give his wife the time of day either. And she was pretty damn dutiful.

13. Not only that. He made it clear that the "most important relationship" he could have...
in the world is his relationship with another citizen of this great country.

Ouch. If I were his wife, I would have resented that.

3. People prattle on about how great his concession was, I thought it was a train wreck
Body language all wrong, booing crowd, tension betwixt Palin and McCain.

12. Honestly, McCain should have gone to Chicago to give his concession speech.
He would have gotten a better reception, and had more fun afterwards.

7. McCain's loss was a referendum on the goatee
if Todd had shaved the goatee they would have won ;-)

8. Hopefully this whole adventure will do for goatees what the whole
Lewinsky scandal did for that obnoxious cigar craze. Oh, God, that would be great...

11. As much as I despise that SOB McCain, I will have to say -
he did the right thing last night in his concession speech - he did exactly what the Clintons did when they backed away from Obama.

I think McCain saved the country from some serious civil unrest that would given W just what he is looking for - the opportuity for martial law.
