Should DU be insulted or flattered that Hannity wants to state a "conservative underground" group?
And would it be known as CU or would that be too easily confused with Catholic University?

1. Unfortunately, you need at least three members to start
the group.

3. Surely he's heard of Freak Republic?
Tony Snow even posted over there when he worked at FAUX. Coulterbeast probably has or had an account there, and I've heard that Rove does. And the (allegedly) late Barbara Olson was a Freep in the early days.

Sure WE know RimJob's Digital Trailer Park sucks, but for Hannity it should be a paradise of pure bassackwards hatred.

4. CU = "See you" (later, or better yet, never).
Neoconservatism deserves no respect as a valid ideology. Let's hope its influence is severely diminished for a good while.

7. They could call themselves "Conservative Underground of Neopatriot Theologians"
Edited on Wed Nov-05-08 11:41 PM by Bippity Boo
it would have a great acronym, and Cindy McCain could be the unofficial mascot

11. Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.
Hannity can try to immitate but can never equal DU.

14. I'm intrigued by the idea of an "underground" movement led by a guy
who is well compensated for having his own radio show and TV show on a major media outlet. How is that "underground"?

Moreover, I find it fascinating that a guy who spent years demanding that everybody supports the president because we're at war decides overnight to ditch this notion now that he doesn't like the president.

My hope is that one of the main consequences of Obama's presidency will be that our national dialogue will gain a semblance of maturity which will render guys like Hannity totally irrelevant.
