Why is Alaska's Senate race still uncalled? |
The race shows 99% of the returns in, but more than 1% apart. While I'd love to get this seat, I guess I don't know how we can still win it. Can anyone explain what I'm not understanding?

5. Close to 60,000 absentee and early vote ballots are still out. |
The early ballots cast between Thursday and Monday were not included in last night's totals. The Division of Elections has 10 days to get the election certified. We should have an answer no later than November 21. Mark Begich has not conceded and is feeling hopeful. 8. It's a state full of pirates. |
That's my conclusion, after watching the state carried by a convicted felon, our very own American Imelda Marcos (although with thieves' honor she looted the GOP kitty), and a congressman who might already be under indictment, although I can't keep it all straight. Oh, yeah, the last governor gave his daughter a seat in the Senate. Ahoy!
I suspect they won't call it until they're sure someone won't literally steal the AK Secretary of State's seal and make themselves Senator, Preznit, and Captain of the State of Alaska, Overlord of Beringia and Grand King/Queen of Arctic Pork (in Young's case, Subtropical Coastal Pork, a la Blackbeard).
