I'm just superficial enough to enjoy visualizing them dressed in formal wear for state dinners. How AWESOME they're going to look. How gracious they are.
Ahhh. And I think she'll do a fantastic job as First Lady. I really really like her. She's classy.

12. She will be an excellent First Lady... |
|
Some of the reasons:
1. She's intelligent.
2. She has Dignity.
3. She has class.
4. She's had a paying job.
5. She does not have an apparent fondness for xanax.
I could probably add another 100 reasons, but I'll just leave this for others to add their thoughts...:D

I'm not sure why, but my best friend (can't figure this one out) doesn't like her, and can't say what it is about her to make her feel this way. She denies all of the possible physical reasons I threw at her (too tall? too much structure in her face or eyebrows? what is it?)
I can't imagine a better first lady. What exciting wonderful girls she and he reared.

very much so. I was even looking foreword to Theresa Hines Kerry as opposed to Pickles. I think Michelle will be wonderful and much more accessible. There is something wrong with Laura, she's a psycho, cold fish.

And I am not even sure I like everything she is and stands for and etc. But SO WHAT? Yes - I am very happy to see MO in the WH. She will be herself in that role - with luck. And that will be MORE than enough.
Good luck MO. Our every good wish in that impossible role is with you.

30. I'm excited about the whole family |
|
One of my last thoughts as I finally went to sleep last night was imagining the girls wearing velvet dresses running down the hallway of the White House to the Christmas tree on Christmas morning. I don't know why. I don't even usually get too emotional about Christmas at all, really, and I know in a People magazine the Obamas said they don't do gifting on Christmas. But that image sent me off to slumber with a grin.

about the whole family. There is such a sense of love and cohesion with them all...it's going to be really fun to watch! I have a feeling they will be as judicious in sharing the girls as they are now... special occasions only...but little peeks now and then will be fun.

in the sense of how intelligent Hilary is and I'm sure help Bill make presidential decisions. Michelle is just as intelligent and I'm sure will be a great sounding board and advisor to Barack when he faces the growing issues of this country.

I'll never forget the first time my family watched Michelle deliver a speech on tv. My younger son said, "This is the person who should be President." He campaigned for Barack Obama, and he still looks forward to listening to Michelle at every opportunity.

It's a nice bonus to have a classy spouse there for the photo ops and such, but I'm much more interested in how the transition team shapes up...give us clues to policy priorities next January. But then, I don't go in for the celebrity aggrandizement.

she got class! I agree about the dress.. shudder... The "First Mother-in-Law" looked wonderful! So did both Mrs. Biden (VP mother and wife). She will be a breath of fresh air after 8 years.
