I miss Barack.....
I'm so used to coming here and seeing rally pictures or a "heads up" thread to listen to a speech. I am enjoying the pictures posted from Grant Park but I need to see my President today!!

5. Why does everyone so quick to assume the worst of people?
I see these posts all the time here, and maybe they are freepers maybe they aren't but people who posts these comments should remember 2 things:

1. It's against the DU rules to accuse someone of being a freeper or rag on them about their post count

and

2. Assuming the worst in people and throwing around accusation without proof, not only is very "freeper like" but also does not create a welcoming environment to newcomers on this board.

10. I'm glad someone else is confused too...
I was starting to think I was either stupid or crazy.

11. I'm not joking, and i doubt the "accuser" is either
But you're right there was nothing glaringly "freeper" about this thread. I'm sure a lot of people miss seeing Obama on their TV, after so many of us became glued to our favorite news channels for hours on end. It's a bit of withdrawal taking place with a lot of people right now. We're all so happy he won, but I think a lot of people miss the inspired campaigning and some might even miss the competitiveness with the freepers, who knows. My only point was, the original posters of this thread didn't need to be accused of being a freeper simply based on one persons misguided interpretation of the original post. It's not right, it's against the rules and it creates an unfriendly and unwelcoming environment. But That's me, maybe some people still just want to fight with the other side and need an accuse or scapegoat to start some drama.

12. Thank you Hellataz...
that was exactly what I was attempting to say in the post. I'm glad the election is over but I was feeling a little withdrawal. I don't know why that was considered a freeper post? Thanks again.

13. You're welcome, you have every right to feel the way you want.
The way I see it, if I reply kindly to a post and it was posted by a freeper to try and make me look silly I don't really care. I would never be embarrassed by the idea that some freeper "got me!" for one thing I was myself and secondly I stand behind everything i say, so even if the freepers think my response is funny, it really doesn't effect me. I wish more people here would remember that and knock off all this divisive "you're a freeper! No your a freeper!" attacks. It's pointless.

Let's take our cues from President Obama and look for the good in people, not automatically assume the worst.
