Where he was not utterly incompetent, he was crooked. His manners were vulgar. His pride led him to disgusting displays of hypocrisy,
Some of that might have been funny if the backdrop weren't the Iraq War and the torture chambers of Guantánamo, Abu Ghraib and Bagram.
This was a slight and unmeritable man . . .

But there have been some pretty cool technological advances, movies, Harry Potter books, videogames, etc. that have come out during his time in Al Gore's house

whose way smarter than our president. I really can't say that about the new guy, though the abject horror I have lost makes it pretty worthwhile! :)

the comedy value of his words or misadventures on sports equipment do not come close to making up for all he did to our country.

to human life and dignity, to our civil rights, to the precious environment, to our economy, to our worldwide reputation, to our very security--has been breathtaking. From allowing corporate plunder of our natural resources such as razing old-growth forests and strip-mining whole mountaintops, to the Orwellian abuses of our own civil rights, to ignoring international law and the Geneva Convention, to preemptive invasions and endless war in his quest for oil, to his arrogant attack on our Constitutional separation of powers--these last eight years have been nothing but a disastrous nightmare! In my book, he was just another greedy, ignorant, imbecilic, warmongering, two-bit, power-hungry, terrorist dictator put in the driver's seat of the most powerful nation and most powerful military in the world. I don't know if I can ever forgive the ignorant Americans who voted for him--twice, even! I will not miss him for one nanosecond!

Now we'll have an unruly, oweing-no-allegiance-to-any-country, multinational, corporate beast to contend with (what the thing pulling their strings has become).
