now that we control the IRS
I think we should tighten the requirements for tax exempt status and/or step up enforcement of rules against political activity by religions.

My rules would be, for any religious organization, local or national:

1. TAX-EXEMPT STATUS REVOKED FOR FIVE YEARS: endorsing a candidate from the pulpit, handing out misleading flyers designed to influence vote, donating less than $50k to political advocacy group

2. TAX-EXEMPT STATUS REVOKED FOR TEN YEARS: denying full participation in religion to anyone due to political beliefs, threatening eternal damnation to members based on voting choice, donating more than $50k to political advocacy group,

For too long they've been getting away with too much, it's time to stop them.
