Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-IL), "a wily, aggressive West Wing strategist under President Bill Clinton, has accepted the post of White House chief of staff for President-elect Barack Obama," reports Politico.
"The appointment was the first Obama offered after his election, and Emanuel pondered the opportunity for about 24 hours. Friends said Emanuel accepted the job because he thought it was important to serve this historic administration despite the potential strain on his wife, Amy Rule, and their three children, who live in the Chicago area. "

1. Good, Did not want to see him turn it down if Obama wanted him. |
|
He is not my most favorite person in the world but I think he will run the staff very well and keep the Congress in line as well for Obama.

4. OK make a list, I'll nominate Schlossberg |
|
I'll admit to a giggle, but then, I want Howard Dean in there, his name doesn't alert the spell checker.

6. No, it's gotta be a funny first name. We'll give Joe Biden a pass. |

But for everyone else, funny (well, unusual for America) names would be great.
As for Dean, if we call him Howie, he'd have a funny name. Well, goofy anyway.

7. The only thing is I wish he didn't accept it while creating all this drama about it |
|
That was just totally unnecessary. I'm hoping that the Obama administration will be just as drama-less and leak-less as his campaign is.
