A touching story from a co-worker.
The few fellow Obama supporters in my office were sharing links and stories today. This one is from a co-worker of mine named Misty that I thought was really cool.

Here's a funny story.

Some of you met my niece, she's six. My sister took her to the voting polls on Tuesday, and when she found out that she wasn't allowed to vote, she started crying. My sister gave her a sample ballot, once she was able to fill in the bubble next to Barack Obama's name, she stopped crying. She's only 6, and she told me yesterday, very proudly, "I voted for Barack Obama!!!"

Check out these pictures too- http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2008/11/the_next_president_of_the_unit.html

2. I had a little girl walk up to me at my greeter's table at the polls, and point at my button ...
... she was only about 4 or 5, and she looked me right in the eye and shouted, "BARACK OBAMA"! Kids are SO INTO this guy!

3. That is so cute
I was a poll watcher all day Tuesday and saw so many kids accompanying their parents, and many of the kids were saying "Obama!" One little girl was saying, "Where's the vote?" and then started asking "Where's the boat?" It was darling.

12. I haven't been able to actually touch a voting machine's buttons ever since my 7yo daughter was 3.
She LOVES to vote. Brags about it in class, too. "I voted for Lula!", she tells her classmates. Do the poll people allow that in the US?

14. My nephew voted for Al Gore in 2000
He was two years old, and I took him with me on election day to vote. I let him push the buttons and I told him that he just voted for Al Gore. Afterwards we went to the local McDonalds. He was wearing his "I Voted" sticker so another customer asked him who he voted for. He looked at the man and proclaimed proudly "I voted for alligator!" :loveya: For the next couple of years, every time that I passed the school where I vote he wanted to go vote again.

He's ten now and has been raised as a little Republican. Even so, he likes Obama but he said he was "voting" for McCain. I reminded him of the alligator story and he loves it.
