Electoral Count: How did everyone do?
Edited on Thu Nov-06-08 12:50 PM by olshak
With North Carolina finally declared for Obama, the total is 364 to 174.

So how did everyone do in their predictions.

I got the number exactly right... 364 to 174 (http://onelittlevictoryblog.com/2008/11/03/how-election-night-will-unfold/)... the only thing I got wrong was calling Indiana and Missouri (both 11 EV) in the opposite directions than they went. Did anyone here get it exact?

2. I had Missouri added in for 375. Otherwise exactly correct
I did pick Indiana and North Carolina. (Can't believe we missed Missouri by a couple thousand votes...ouch)

21. Same here - I predicted
between 350 & 375, with a good chance of exactly 375.

4. Missouri is probably gone, there are still outstanding provisional ballots.
Being from MO, working phone banks, knocking on doors, I have remote hope.

8. According to an article in the Post-Dispatch there don't seem to be enough
outstanding, uncounted votes (mostly provisional) to make up the difference. But I still have hope... maybe something somewhere will be enough.

11. Personally, I feel a little guilty
I spent all weekend and all Monday doing GOTV work. However, I decided the weekend before that I badly wanted to be in Chicago the big night, so I didn't sign up for any election day work and instead took the bus to Chicago. (I did phonebank from Chicago, but they me us call Indiana and Pennsylvania.)

Maybe I could have made a small difference in Missouri? I have to admit, being in Chicago that night was awesome.

Luckily I sent out the email to my rightie friends on October 1st!

Question, did the one district in Nebraska go to McCain?

9. 364 was the number I picked on Tuesday when my kids and I were waiting
for the first polls to close. I knew it was wishful thinking, but I also knew Barack had a good chance on it based on the polls.

woo hoo!!

19. I had 378. Missed Missouri and Montana. Bought too much into MO being a bellweather
I knew the country would be Obama, so I figure MO had to be.

I also thought Montana would flip after seeing the go on with Rachel.

No free DU stuff for me.

25. Same here, also had 378 with MO and MT
MT was always a stretch but it really surprised me when Obama took Indiana but not Missouri.

22. I predicted 311-227.
Obama won Nevada, Virginia, Colorado, Iowa, New Mexico, and Ohio, but McCain kept North Carolina, Florida, and Indiana.

I guess that's what I get for being pessimistic. :D
