Here are the UNOFFICIAL results of Skinner's Election Night Pool:

Although not all sources have confirmed this, it looks like NC has gone blue  and MO has stayed red. :( If these projections hold, Obama holds forth at a respectable 364 Electoral Votes, while McCain has only 174.

A whopping 36 DU'ers predicted the magic number 364. However, of the people who guessed 364 AND listed the states they thought he would win, the vast majority thought (as I did) that Obama would lose Indiana and win Missouri. Only 4 DU'ers predicted Missouri's loss and Indiana's win: SidDithers, Minimus, Doremus, and new member Kjaereste.

Of these four, only one person accurately gave the time the results would be called: 11:00 EST. Now, Missouri is still technically up for grabs. Plus, I am not Skinner, hence the unofficial nature of this post. But for NOW--

--it looks like Doremus will be the big winner of free DU merch. Congrats! :applause:

PS: If Missouri DOES go blue somehow, Born_A_Truman wins it at 375. And if for some tragic reason North Carolina is actually revealed to be Red (CNN, for one, still has it as Too Close To Call), the winner is Vash the Stampede at 349. Both outcomes seem rather unlikely at this juncture.

3. I don't think the time results should be counted at all
since the networks could have called this after Ohio came in for Obama at like, what, 9:30?

4. Come on, even when the other team is behind by 4 touchdowns with a minute left to go...
...the game isn't over til it's over.

7. There Are Many Factors That Could Go Into When It Is And Isn't Called.
Guessing the time means being a bit lucky as well. Some of us predicted the time right, regardless of other times the race could've been called.

The time was important for a tie breaker, as seen in this case.

It was just a game. Lighten up.

6. I Was One Of The 36, And Can Readily Admit I Thought Indiana Would Stay Red.
The most exciting surprise to me of the entire night was Indiana going blue. That is a HUGE victory on our part. Love it!

9. The 'Indiana blue/Missouri red' surprise tripped me up.... How did that happen?
I'm in NC and know little about the ground forces in those states. So I went with history of Missouri always being right, and I assumed when Obama won that streak would continue.
