Fellow progressives and liberals, now that the election is over, where will you
be putting your focus and energy?

(Me, I'm still for election reform and reduction of global warming gasses, but the passing of Prop 8 has also renewed my desire for full civil rights for all Americans.)

1. Supporting and voicing my opinions
Edited on Thu Nov-06-08 02:37 PM by kwolf68
To Senators Webb and Warner in Virgnia and Congressman Frank Wolf (barf) as well.

I will continue my work on environmental causes as I normally would. Just because I have a friend in positions of power now does not mean that work ends.

Other issues of great concern...Obamas cabinet and of course the SCOTUS.

4. I'm sorry you're still stuck with Wolf!
I've voted against him many a time. I now live in the 11th district which probably only went blue because Tom Davis retired.

2. I'm ready for the next election in 2 years
I plan to help candidates in other states like we did this cycle - only earlier in the cycle as the new candidates emerge.

One thing I know for certain is that this is going to be a lifelong effort to keep the Party strong all over the country. I'm not as energetic as I used to be but I can set aside a certain amount of funds to help out where we can.

Today, I plan to donate to Al Franken since he needs money for the recount. So, he's the first on my list. :hi:

7. I think that is a super idea. Don't let Gov. Dean's hard work and planning stop here.

are going to be focused on making sure that this election in Alaska was clean -- which it appears it clearly was not. Next, my attention will be focused on Sarah Palin and getting to the bottom of her many secrets. Her days of smooth sailing in Alaska are over.

10. I'm going to concentrate on my local county level
It sucks to live in blue NJ in a county that went 60-40 for McLame and has been in Repub control for the 20 years I've lived here.
