On Tuesday, Electoral "Pizzas" Were Delivered to

In the House:

Marilyn Musgrave - CO-4 Mean and Nasty ****.

Chris Shays - CT-4 Not the Worst 'Pub in the Bunch, but Now Dems Have Every CT Seat!

Ric Keller - FL-8 A Tom-DeLay/Jack Abramoff Kind of Guy.

Tom Feeney - FL-27 Major Asshole.

William Sali - ID-1 After Only One Term

Tim Walberg - MI-7 Another One-Term Club for Growth Idiot

Joseph Knollenberg - MI-9 Friend Of Jack (Abramoff)

Jon Porter - NV-3 Buh-Bye

John "Randy" Kuhl Jr. - NY-29 DUI and Threatened to Shoot His ex-Wife. Family Values!

Robin Hayes - NC-8 A Four-termer Who Should Have Lost in 2006

Steve Chabot - OH-1 Six-Term Wingnut

Phil English - PA-3 - Contract On America Seven-Termer

Thelma Drake - VA-02 - Two-Term Wingnut. Replaced Republican on Ballot in 04 (Gay Sex Scandal)

This list does not include our many victories in "Open-Seat" contests or the eight contests that are "too close to call."

In the Senate...

John Sununu - NH - Chief of Staff to Bush 41. One of Those "Mysterious" Victories in 2002. Lost in a Rematch.
Elizabeth Dole - NC Chair of the NRSC in 2006. Results Were "Mixed." Might be an Atheist.

Gordon Smith - OR He Knew His Time Was Up. Overall, NOT an Asshole. Just a Republican.

This list does not include our Several victories in "Open-Seat" contests or the three contests that are "too close to call."

He sensed the political sea-change and has lurched left. He has (had) a pretty solid partnership with Wyden.

And I guess I sympathize for his family issues.

13. I second that.
All you had to do was take a look at his Matthew Shepherd ad to understand how low he would stoop.

He's corporate America, plain and simple.

Buh-bye, Gordo. Let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.

20. I totally agree. The fact that Smith ran his re-election campaign by
mostly having Freedoms Watch run attack ads against Merkley and Rove had his sticky little fingers in the middle of all of it. That tells me everything I need to know.

29. Shays was ok on social issues
Edited on Thu Nov-06-08 06:17 PM by rebecca_herman
pretty liberal on social issues really - pro-choice, pro-environment, pro-animals, etc. He just supported the war way too much and pissed us off in Connecticut. Probably the only reason he's gone because he promised to stop supporting it if he got reelected last time, he didn't, so he was voted out.

Tom Feeney was way more of a "Tom-DeLay/Jack Abramoff Kind of Guy" than Ric Keller, who pretty much voted the way he was told.

And the lobbyist ties to Feeney were just a small component of what made him a true ASSHOLE.

38. Wrong Sununu
You're thinking of Papa Doc. Baby Doc lost on Tuesday. Soon to be former Sen. Sununu is the 44 year old son of the former governor and WHCOS.

And incidentally, there was nothing mysterious about the 2002 results. That time, Sununu ran a much better campaign than Shaheen. This year, it was revered.

42. The phone jamming was overrated as a factor
It was repulsive, but it didn't really last very long. Shaheen lost the election in the Boston exurbs in southern Rockingham and Hillsborough counties. These areas were not hit by the jamming scam, which mainly impacted Manchester and Claremont.
