Book publishers (ALL OF THEM) say,"Thanks, but no thanks" to Bush memoir |
|
Just saw it on my local news, so I don't have a link, but Bush was shopping around a memoir to be written after he leaves office and EVERYONE said no.
Even the conservative publishing houses, who said even they didn't think their readership would be interested in reading about the Bush administration.
Shrub is leaving office in such low esteem and disgrace he can't even sell a book which every departing president has been able to do.....what a loser.

2. Good! I had predicted this a few days ago, that we won't be seeing a great big |

book deal for Shrubbie. Nor, I predicted, would we even see a book deal at all, excepting perhaps one of the rightwing Jesus Crispy publishing houses.

I almost feel sorry for him! NOT! That's the one thing he probably counted on, and now it's like...he's like some kind of bizarre, mutated short shit OJ SImpson, and no one wants to have anything to do with him whatsoever!

I wanted to mail those to the electric company with note "Sorry, I can't pay the light bill this month, I got these Chick tracts instead of dollar bills."

No decoding required. It's a crystal clear view into the mindset. Using them as tips? That takes the cake. It's a perfect storm of arrogance, ignorance and hate.

No shit, publishers.
We lived through the hell of the * years. We don't want, or need, to read about it.
Now if they want to put some of his funnier, mangled quotes on toilet paper and sell that, I might be interested. (But only if the money goes to charity.)

I'd love to know what actually goes on inside his head. Although the book would probably be ghostwritten, so it probably would not be of much value.

33. You know, I find that hard to believe. Because I think there must be a market... |
|
for the memoirs of every President. And I would think there would be a huge market for Bush's memoirs precisely BECAUSE he was the worst one in history; I think a lot of people would want to read it to try to get inside his head to figure out what the hell happened, how it happened, and is there a brain in that head of his. I think historians would hang on every word, psychiatrists would analyze it, and anti-Bush (like myself) would read it looking for some valid reason he did the horrible things he did, and there is always a core of Bush lovers out there.
I guess there isn't a market. But I would've thought there would be. Unless he proposed some glossy memoir (by an adoring ghost writer) that merely gives dates and events or something dry like that.
