The money will be donated to legal organizations fighting the case and to support grass-roots activities in support of full marriage equality. Although we decry the reprehensible role the Church of Latter Day Saints leadership played in denying all Californians equal rights under the law, we are pleased a donation has been made on your behalf in the effort to overturn the discrimination your church members helped enshrine in the California Constitution. Given that throughout its history the Mormon Church has been subjected to bigotry, we hope you appreciate the donation in your name to fight religious bigotry here in California.

2. As much as I understand this concept, I can't bring

myself to donate anything in the name of anyone associated with the Morman Church. They are far to vile. I also don't think they would have any change of heart on this issue, they are a hateful political organization with robotic followers that do whatever they tell them to do and never think for themselves. This includes inside their own families and in their own follower's bedrooms. If it weren't for creating and fostering this haterd and bigotry among their followers, the morman church would have no reason to exist and no money to make to sustain their bullshit.

5. I get the point, I just can't bring myself to do it.

This would be a better idea if "liberal" leaning mormans would do it within the confines of their own church. It would have more of an impact. Unless of course there was national press noting a large amount of money donated on behalf of the morman church to humiliate them. Maybe on the front page of SF Chronicle! Then, I would consider it. I'll follow it for now. :)

4. LDS goes from persecuted to persecutor in 150 years forgetting its own history of

being chased out of towns, members murdered by christian mobs, and being driven out of the midwest to Utah. Why? because they were believed to be pushing a false religion and violating the words of the bible. So here they are all these years later persecuting another group in the NAME of the bible, acting just like their persecutors all those years ago.

They have learned nothing. Oh wait, they have learned how make lots of money and wrecking non white non christian cultures in the name of their religion.
