10. That's a great picture!
I mean, hey, sucks for the reporter, but it IS a great picture. Psycho demon dog!

Seriously though, don't just go pointing your hand at a dog that doesn't know you. Especially one owned by a sociopath.

2. He bit a reporter's finger.
A reporter went to pet him, and Barney went apeshit and bit the guy's finger.

8. I think those dogs have been ignored
and aren't used to humans having anything to do with them.

9. I've seen pics of Bush carrying him...
not to say he's lavished with attention, but I don't think he's completely ignored.

Scotties can be mean. My Great Grandma had one that mauled a much larger, though very elderly, mutt. Chewed him to bits and the poor thing had to be put down he was in such bad shape. And the mutt was minding his own business, in the middle of a nap when he got attacked.

7. A reporter.
I heard the other dog bit a cast member of the Broadway musical "Jersey Boys", when they were about to perform at the White House.

11. This is a sad story actually.
Since DC law requires any dog that bites a person to be quarantined for 14 days, Barney may have to go to the pound. For now, he's claiming executive privilege, and refuses to show up for his subpoena. Bush, meanwhile, is working on a pardon as fast as possible.

15. It'll be coming up on Countdown soon...
I thought the newspaper spooked the dog...

To illustrate in front of my husband,
I waved a newspaper in my dog's face, and

she just sat there.

Oh well.

19. Dogs very often pick up the qualities of their owners...
...and express the tensions in a household, even if the human members won't express it in words. I know when I get especially tense and anxious, my dogs go nutzoid also. One is so tuned in to me that he goes off his food and gets especially snappish with the others; another once shared an injury with me (he pulled a muscle while running, and I felt the pain in the same muscle). Pets, like kids, are very attuned and often express in behavior what the adults in the family won't admit to, sometimes even to themselves.

21. Wonkette said:
Barney, currently the only black male in the White House, is extremely pissed off since hearing he’ll soon be deported to Texas so that a black human can be the president while some common mutt street dog will become the nation’s new First Pet. So Barney just cold bit this douche Reuters reporter, who had it coming for a long, long time.
