3. Thanks for the opportunity to make my bi-monthly case against Bill Richardson |
|
He thought it would be a great idea to pipe Great Lakes' water down to the American Southwest. A terrible idea in its own right, but a really quick way to alienate Canada, who has some stake in the Great Lakes, too.

It IS a terrible idea, but everyone's said some dumb things in their lifetime--including Kerry and even Obama.

5. Perhaps you are not from a Great Lakes state |
|
it would be an environmental catastrophe. The Great Lakes ecosystem is huge, fragile, and unique. To me, this shows a Palinesque lack of knowledge on the subject (well, okay, that's an exaggeration, but still, he should be better informed). I don't consider it a minor point.

Water wars will dwarf the oil wars soon - and our nation will need someone who is highly informed in many areas.

he led the charge here in election reform. Adopting a universal paper ballot voting system for all counties in the state.

I like both. I want to put Kerry in the white house (albeit as a cabinet member). Also Kerry is well know/respected figure. Plus I want to reward Kerry for having the balls to stand up to Bush in 2004, while many democrats tried to play nice.

19. Kerry without a doubt. The man made his mark on foreign policy for me |
|
during the debates with Snrub in 2004. He was so knowlegable on what we were facing at that time and it became the doctrine of the Dem party by 2008. I really like him and hope he gets picked!

but after the way the Latino vote turned out for him, Obama will need to put a high profile Latino on his cabinet. Richardson is an obvious choice.
I wonder if the news reports of Kerry wanting the job are true? Teddy is not going to be around forever, and Kerry is poised to become the new "liberal lion" of the Senate.
hmmm...
