Getting lost in all this excitement - we have a GREAT VP in Joe The Biden!!!
Edited on Thu Nov-06-08 10:16 PM by NRaleighLiberal
I've seen very little mention of him over the past two days. But you can be sure that Obama will draw so much on Biden's experience and knowledge. This is a superb team...just wanted to give Joe (can I call him Joe??) his due!

1. Biden probably knows many of the likely appointees, so I bet he's having input. nt

2. Hear! Hear!
They just showed a pic of him and played the audio of his response to a question -- unfortunately I tuned in at the very end, but at least KO mentioned him.

21. Smiling, capable, genial, exceptionally smart Democrats!
WOO HOO!

I love Joe Biden. They both have great smiles, but Joe's got this eye-crinkle/twinkle going on that is so charming. I am just so incredibly proud of the entire ticket; I feel like I'm in an alternate universe where GOOD things happen!

4. Was paying only l/2 attention, but heard on MSNBC
either somebody reading from a paper, or his voice, but Joe Biden was saying something like "we're still friends, John," and "we can't do it without you." Reaching for bipartisan support ....

Wish I'd heard all of it.

6. From a media coverage standpoint, this was decidedly a three person race.
Barack Obama vs. John McCain vs. Sarah Palin.

Obama won, and McCain was defeated by BOTH of them.

8. He has been a big element
They tried to eclipse him with Palin and THAT blunder was so loud it stole a bit of the public thunder I think he would have had in tearing down McCain. In any event I think he was a huge factor in the GOP meltdown and an undeniable great VP.

One thing I would like to bring up is all Biden's legislation he never got passed, especially, first and foremost, campaign finance reform, real hardcore gutting of the entire fraudulent election problem. Simple and maybe the best way to get at the problem in the large and quickly.

If we pushed nothing else we could save the future with that one, and reduce our dangerous reliance on the wealthy and too many wealthy candidates.

20. Obama has included Biden in everything he says and does.
If you haven't had a chance to check out this website, I highly recommend it:

http://www.change.gov/agenda/ethics/

Note that everything refers to Barack and Joe -- together! I love that "partnership" in governance. Like Clinton & Gore (and maybe even better, wooooooo hoooo!)

25. In response to all the threads with nervous tones about
"who is Barack chosing?", I think everyone should rest assured that the guy knows what he is doing. He showed as much in his first pick, JOE BIDEN!!

And thank you, NC!!!
