Mr. DTBK wants to drive from Dallas to Frederick, Maryland, where we have friends. We can probably arrange MARC train tickets to DC. I swallowed my pride and contacted both blowhard Kenny Marchant and jackass John Cornyn for inaugural tickets.

I managed to get myself to Bill Clinton's first inaugural and attended the ceremony, the parade and the Midwestern Inaugural Ball, where I barfed while waiting for the Clintons to arrive because I'm not a drinker and had 2 cups of champagne after eating only an apple croissant 10 hours before - but it was very much worth it!

If lucky enough to score Inaugural Ball tickets, I still couldn't wear the gown I wore to Clinton's - I'm twice the woman I was then, most unfortunately. I must have looked anorexic because I'm not HUGE now, but a few dress sizes larger.

5. I called Obama's headquarters in Chicago yesterday

and suggested that arrangements be made with Am Track to run an Obama Bound train from Miami to Washington,DC for the Inauguration for all us east coasters who want to go. They said they'd pass the suggestion on. Wouldn't that be a cool ride?
