I'm getting such a backlash from freepers at work!

Man, they are mad! Did they EVER think I didn't feel that way when they were so arrogant after Bush won....especially after his SECOND term!? They were telling another pro-Obama co-worker of mine that he is not patriotic and didn't put his hand over his heart, doesn't wear the lapel pin, yadda, yadda, yadda. She said she wasn't aware of all of that (she doesn't have access to a home computer or email). It sounded like they really got to her. She hadn't voted in years and I finally talked her into voting and she voted for him. She called me from work to see how I was feeling when it was announced that Obama won the presidency. She was excited, too. But then the freepers at work the next day started complaining and she couldn't believe it.

I have never been so proud to be an American....and that's just what I'm going to tell any freeper that makes a comment to me at work. I'm going to ask them if they are. If they say no, I'm going to say well then you know exactly how I've felt for the last 8 years!!!

I am so sick of where I live. I wish I could move so badly but I can't because it's not feasible for my spouse.

I'd say we are pretty evenly divided politically but the Repub doctors and some of the secretaries are hard right. My comrades just weren't working with me tonight, so it was particularly brutal from a few. They were saying "we'll see..." "just you wait and see...". I told them I WAS a liberal even though I may not look like what they think a liberal should look like. One of my secretaries said "well, we'll just have to agree to disagree and you'll find out...". Piss ants.

40. I told the secretary this. I told her it was a free country and that I'm liberal.

We started talking about health care. I said we need to stop worrying that we'll lose our life savings if we get sick because of health care costs. She said do you want to live in Canada or something? I said it wouldn't be so bad. She said, well the quality of health care would go down. I said we don't have to do EVERYTHING they do. I just don't want to worry about losing my life savings and my home because of health care costs...that I don't mind paying extra taxes for that insurance. She said "we'll see".
