Here is why I think McPOW is tearing Palin down
Edited on Fri Nov-07-08 07:02 AM by tekisui
She's the scapegoat for his awful campaign, and she is an easy target. If anonymous aides can have the media focus on her failings for a week or two, all eyes will be on Obama's new administration before anyone starts asking, seriously, "Why the hell did 'the Mac' pick such an unqualified person?"

It is just a distraction for the Senator to sneak back into his job and act like he is worth a shit.

1. You nailed it and most of those stories about her have been debunked already

2. I dunno. People have been asking why he picked her for months now.
I think this is really just more of the same finger pointing game that goes on whenever there is a spectacular failure involving lots of people.

3. i disagree, it's obvious what a disaster pick she was
while McCain is to blame in the end for picking her and not vetting her, the things they are saying about her are true.

and i think it's important to get that out rather than continue all the bs about joe the plumber , real america , hockey mom etc.

McCain isn't going to run again.

4. I think he realizes what a huge blunder he made
She is nothing like him and he made a terrible mistake in picking her. I think he sees the writing on the wall that she could be the future face of the party and doesn't want that to happen. He hopes to destroy her now before she has the chance to rise in the ranks. Problem is, it's probably too late for that.

5. It Seens To Me That Instead Of Tearing Her Down The Better Way To Deal With Her Would Be......
just to be honest and say he made a wrong pick. I think that he would get more respect by admitting this and this admission alone would impact on her ability to ever emerge again in the Repug party. By scapegoating her - he's making her a martyr and that can work in her favor in the future.

6. Their pathetic campaign misread EVERYTHING.
They misread the reasons Hillary supporters supported Hillary; they misread how ambitious Sarah Palin was; they misread how easily the electorate would see through the pretty face to the nothingness inside; they misread how minor the religious-fanatic base truly was.

For all their bluster now, the fact remains that they pushed Palin on McCain, and McCain went along. THAT'S not leadership, my friends, and he knows it. THAT's not good judgment, in his pick of who to rely on for advice. They're all tarred permanently from this disaster of a campaign. Exposed, all of them.

7. Whatever the reason ,it looks like the opening salvo in the war
between the traditional fiscal conservative/quasi libertarian wing of the party and the right wing talk radio/fundie nut case mouth breathers. Aren't you glad you let that genie out of the bottle,GOP? Good luck with that.

8. I think there's a purpose to this attack on Palin - they want to damage her perm-
anently so she is NOT the future of the party.
