5. "divided" implies they are equal halves...
the Republican party is a beaten ultra-minority party that deserves to have absolutely no say whatsoever in any policy discussion from here on out. Any "reaching across the aisle" will purely be out of the graciousness of Obama's heart.

The government isn't divided--it's Democratic, and that's what Americans voted overwhelmingly for.

They don't understand what "United" States means. Nor do they understand that true democracy requires the give and take of compromise. To them, divisiveness is more important. Who, then, are the subversives?
