He's the OPPOSITION PARTY now. He's only going to get louder and nastier.

I think some of us have yet to come to grips with the fact that we are no longer the outsiders. I actually think it will be tougher for shows like Countdown and Rachel Maddow to hang on. They became popular because they were the only voices on the tv speaking to us, the opposition. Now we're "the status quo," and the new opposition will only get worse than it was before.

We've already seen how much crazier Limbaugh has become in such a short time. Expect it from all of them.

1. I think in general the DC press c orps is going to be less inclined...
to pursue GOP pushed "scandal" stories than they were during the entirety of the Clinton Admin.

2. They will only become louder and more popular. Of course we have a choice - turn it off.

4. The trouble with that theory...
Is that the network execs don't care. They'd rather have an audience of 100,000 who absolutely despise Joe than an audience of 30,000 who love him. The more you write and e-mail them, the more validation they get that he is still drawing an audience.

5. the status quo maybe but you wouldn't know it on TV
I actually think it will be tougher for shows like Countdown and Rachel Maddow to hang on. They became popular because they were the only voices on the tv speaking to us, the opposition. Now we're "the status quo,"

and they are still the only voices talking from our side, status quo or not.

9. I've never watched the intern killer and don't plan to. EVER
As long as Keith and Rachel keep the truth going,
I don't see anything but up for them.

10. Morning Joe is on too early in my time zone.
When I get up, MSNBC News Live is on. I've never watched MJ.

11. Agree the opposition voices will continue, but disagree that
Maddow and KO are soon "goners"... While they clearly lean leftward, both have real news in their reporting, something that the far RW 'screamers' never do.

12. The media wingnuts were always at their best as the underdogs...
...railing against things that never were, rather than when lying about things that are.
