Grow old along with me; the best is yet to be...

And after Tuesday, I'm really beginning to believe it!

14. Me, too.
I remember feeling that Clinton was a peer when he got into office, and that was weird. For my whole life, up until then, Presidents were all old farts, but Clinton was so young, more my generation. Now the President Elect is eight years younger than I am. THAT is weird. It doesn't make me feel old. It just feels like a shift.

34. 10/7/61 here
the 1961 generation has taken over. Hooray. In Australia our new PM is 51yo and his deputy Julia Gillard is another from 1961.

It feels great that our generation is now in charge.

Peace

21. Same here -- but I'm so glad to hand it over to another generation
Time to let the next generation take charge. The pre-boomers and boomers have screwed things up enough though some of us really tried our best to keep it from happening.

29. "Time to let the next generation take charge. "
I agree. It'll be their world, after all.

But I still can't help but feel like I've stood on the sidelines and watched ours pass!

25. Obama is 15 years older then me, that is not a lot to me.
It feels good to have a young president again, like Bill Clinton. McLame felt like my Grandpa. Obama feels like an older uncle. Its all cool.

If you listened to her as a kid growing up, then the election of Obama just confirms that we are getting old.
