1. I am very afraid that he might be worse off than we know.
The silence from him and from the family seems weird. You'd think something would have been said.

I hope I'm wrong...

3. Not weird if they want to keep Teddy's condition quiet while Obama
has his victory lap. Maybe that's it. I hope he's around longer. I feel like I've spent my life seeing Kennedys die...

5. He did release a statement
“Today, Americans spoke loud and clear and demanded change by electing Barack Obama as our next President. They understood his vision of a fairer and more just America and embraced it. They heard his call for a new generation of Americans to participate in government and were inspired. They believed that change is possible and voted to be part of America’s future.

“Barack Obama is my friend and tonight, I’m very proud to call him my President. I look forward to working with him and Joe Biden on the many challenges facing our country here at home and around the world.”

Here is his statement for Obama's victory
http://www.politickerma.com/jeremyjacobs/1845/kennedy-obama-victory-country-embraced-vision-more-just-america

U.S. Sen. Edward Kennedy said late Tuesday night that Americans embraced Democratic president-elect Barack Obama's call for change.

"Today, Americans spoke loud and clear and demanded change by electing Barack Obama as our next President," the Hyannis Port Democrat said in a statement. "They understood his vision of a fairer and more just America and embraced it. They heard his call for a new generation of Americans to participate in government and were inspired. They believed that change is possible and voted to be part of America's future."

Kennedy, who watched the election returns from his house in Washington, D.C., endorsed Obama during the presidential primary, lending credibility to the Illinois Democrat. Kennedy also gave an emotional speech at the Democratic National Convention this year, just a short time after undergoing surgery to remove a malignant brain tumor.

"Barack Obama is my friend and tonight, I'm very proud to call him my president," Kennedy said on Election Day. "I look forward to working with him and Joe Biden on the many challenges facing our country here at home and around the world."

I can tell, no where, on five local channels.

PBS local news, ABC CBS NBC or the New England Cable News channel.

If he were well, and able to go before cameras, he would have been on one or more of them by now, probably all five.

9. Not a good sign
I was thinking about this just before, remembering when I saw Teddy and Caroline at a NJ Obama rally before our primary (picture in Newsweek!). Anyway, brain cancer is often fast and nasty and the fact that Kennedy hasn't made a public appearance is a pretty good hint that he is not doing well.

10. He's got a glioblastoma, the most aggressive of the primary brain tumors.
Teddy's stage (they range from 1-4) hasn't been revealed as far as I know, but my Dad was diagnosed in February with stage 3-4, and he passed away in June. It is one vicious bastard of a malignancy.
