"A Mutt, like me!"
Referring to shelter dogs, which is their preference for getting a dog for their daughters.

This guy is amazing - can it be January 20th yet?

1. We're all mutts!
Mutts are the best dogs, and I bet they are the best people too. We will all be so much better off once we've melted into the pot so far that we are all a nice shade of latte! LOL!!!!

2. His self-deprecating humor is so refreshing after Bush's baffling cracks
and demeaning remarks about reporters ties and whatnot.

4. That's the first presser in years that I can say made sense
Obama didn't bluster around, he got right to the point and answered each question fully. I doubt there was anyone there left wondering what was going on.

5. I dated a man with a similar background to Obama's.. except his father
was the one from America and his mom was from Holland.. And he always joked that way.. I'm just a mutt. Essentially, we are all a bunch of mutts... that's America, and that is really cool.

6. Did Obama actually say that?
It's what I was thinking when applauding his commitment to getting a shelter dog, but I wasn't going to say it before him.

It's pretty cool of him. We are becoming a nation of what would once have been derisively called mutts. If we can embrace that, and celebrate it, we will be better off.

10. He stole my line!
Awesome. I often refer to myself as a mutt! I hope this is a trend and we just like him more and more every day. As a hardened cynic, I admit I've underestimated his message of hope and optimism in the past, but no more. He's completely won me over.

11. I didn't think it was a good thing to say. Not that big of a deal, but I'll bet he regrets saying it

12. No way in hell he will regret it. It is true and the vast majority of Americans are mutts.
I am a mutt. German, French, English, Irish, and a little bit of Cherokee Indian to boot. And I bet you are a mutt also. Although your pride might get in the way of admitting it.

15. Like I said, not that big of a deal but I don't think it was a good thing to say.
I would like to see him refrain from self-deprecating humor in regard to Black and White. Just my opinion. We all have one. :)
