Ron Emanuel is an A+ choice for Obama

To think that I called Ron Emanuel during the 2006 election and called him an "asshole" for sending a flier to all Dems in my district asking for support for putting women in Congress. It showed four women in Midwest States and not a word about Ms. Stender, the Dem Congress candidate in my districts. But, hey, Dems do a lot of dumb things-- it's in their genes. PERHAPS THAT IS WHY A MAN LIKE EMANUEL IS SUCH A TERRIFIC IDEA FOR CHIEF-OF-STAFF FOR OBAMA. He has done so many stupid things that he indeed learned the ways of Wash DC. As Obama gets pushed by Dem Congress leaders here or there, only chutzpah Emanuel can say: Nope, been there, did that dumb thing...I know where it leads...just say NO!"

Under the tough guy bravado is a brilliant and sensitive guy. After all, unlike McCain who left the military to be in politics and get even (as he did with MIA families), Emanuel left a ballet career for politics. He lived through the "Oh oh, I shouldn't have done that" school of Clinton hard knocks where he was a policy adviser. There he showed that under the: "I'll kick your ass and pass my toes through your eye sockets (only a nimble ballerina man can do that)," there is a sensitive daddy of girls pushed around by a Jewish wife ( AND THOUGH JEWISH WIVES ARE SMART, DEVOTED TO FAMILY AND, MORE OFTEN RIGHT THAN WRONG, THEY SURE NEVER LET YOU FORGET THAT). COME TO THINK OF IT MICHELLE OBAMA IS ALSO A TAKING NO-NONSENSE FROM HER MAN KIND OF WOMAN. SO MAYBE EMANUEL AND OBAMA ARE REALLY JOINED BY A LONG ASSOCIATION TRYING TO GAIN SOME DEGREES OF FREEDOM FROM STRONG WOMEN....AND CERTAINLY A STRONG WOMAN IS NANCY PELOSI WHO TAKES "NO" AS A SIGNAL TO EAT YOU WHOLE (DON'T GET ME WRONG, I FELL IN LOVE WITH PELOSI WHEN WE WORKED TOGETHER DURING THE TIENANMEN SQUARE CRISIS IN THE LATE 1980S).

We must all think BALANCE. Obama wants to be the CONSENSUS President of ALL Americans. He wants to bring Dems and Reps together on his ECONOMY, HEALTH and WAR policies SO THAT WE ALL PULL IN THE SAME DIRSTION-- AND MOST REPS (MANY OF WHOM VOTED FOR HIM) ARE READY TO DO JUST THAT. To accomplish these goals he has to bring on board a lot of savvy activists-- maybe even Hillary.

BUT HOMELAND SECURITY IS A TOTALLY SCUMBAG BUREAUCRACY, CREATED TO MEET BUSH'S SCUMBAG NEEDS WHEN HE FAILED TO CATCH THE IRRESPONSIBLE VULNERABILITY OF OUR AIRLINERS. USING THE HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAUCRACY AS A POLITICAL TOOL AS ROVE'S GOBBLES-LIKE FEAR MACHINE, BUSH HAD US CONDITIONED LIKE PAVLOV'S DOGS TO COLOR SIGNALS AND OBLIVIOUS TO THEIR FASCIST TENDENCIES. SO IF OBAMA PUTS A SCUMBAG CONGRESSWOMAN FROM CALIFORNIA WHO SERVED AS A SHILL FOR BUSH IN THIS ENDEAVOR-- EVEN AGAINST SENATOR GRAHAM OF FLORIDA, HEAD OF SENATE INTEL COMMITTEE-- THEN HE'S MAKING HIS FIRST REALLY DUMB MISTAKE. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HER VIEWS, ONLY THAT SHE LAYED DOWN FOR BUSH AND TO ME THAT'S THE OLD KIND OF POLITICS THAT SHREDS THE BILL OF RIGHTS.

I DEEPLY BELIEVE THAT EMANUEL IS A DEVOTEE OF CIVIL RIGHTS AND PERSONAL FREEDOMS. BUT UNLESS THE HEAD OF THIS ABSURD HOMELAND SECURITY-- A HOLE THROUGH WHICH A LOT OF DOLLARS WENT INTO OBLIVION-- AND OBAMA APPOINTS TO IT A SLIMY CONGRESSWOMAN WHO LAYED DOWN FOR BUSH, THEN HE'LL HEAR IT FROM A LOT OF DEMS THAT WORKED THEIR HEARS OUT AND EMPTIED THEIR WALLETS ASSUMING THAT HE WOULD BRING BACK THE BILL OF RIGHTS.

BE CAREFUL BARACK, DON'T CREATE DOUBT IN YOUR JUDGMENT JUST BEFORE YOU TAKE-OVER THE GOV!!!!
