a 10% sales tax on veterinary medical services in CA, along with amusement parks and sporting events and golf and appliance/auto repairs. He appears completely unaware of the public health implications of this measure when people basically STOP taking their pets to the vet, and farmers quit calling the vet out for their livestock.

We are the first line of defense against bioterrorism. Schwarzenegger is a terrorism enabler.

41. So did CNN really report on this?
I didn't see anything over at the CNN website..

The only thing I can find on Google news that has Schwarzenegger and Obama in it within the last hour or so is about Warren Buffett:

Obama taps Buffett

He may not be the next Secretary of the Treasury as was suggested in the second 2008 U.S. presidential debate, but Barack Obama has tapped the Oracle of Omaha to be one of his economic advisors.

Warren Buffett is part of a 17-member transition economic advisory board to help the president-elect choose who will be on his team when he enters the White House on January 20, 2009. Mr. Buffett was also finance advisor to California Republican Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger during his 2003 election campaign.

44. Poor President-Elect Obama
He's gonna get shit every time he comes up with an idea outside of the box.

There's probably 2 dozen jobs Schwarzenegger could do in the Administration. It would show he's open to the other party, it would give us a Democratic Governor, and probably keep Arnold from running against Barbara Boxer.

I'm not saying make him Treasury Secretary, but if you can give him a job as the head of the Presidential Physical Fitness program or something.

I know, I know, now you're gonna post the photo of him at the pool with all the flab.

I'm just saying, I applaud any thinking outside of the box, any bringing in of a popular, moderate Republican into a post that makes sense for him/her.

David

89. He can't handle anything else, but he seems to be on top of disasters
Edited on Sat Nov-08-08 02:21 AM by Nailzberg
Maybe it comes from his need to be seen as an action hero or something, but the moment there is a disaster anywhere, he's there, helping cut through the bureaucracy.

Then again, perhaps he's the twisted firebug starting all these wildfires, so he can fulfill his little hero fantasy.
