Chairman of the sub-committee on National Park PReservation beats ranking member of the sub-committee for under water basket weaving any day.

"He takes his medicine like a rat."
For Lieberman to leave the Dems right now would be like a rat frantically swimming out to the Titanic. He ain't gonna do it.

6. That won't happen either. At least I don't think so. |

We're too close to the magical 60, and Lieberman would be there at least on most domestic bread & butter issues.

7. Lieberman is honestly a modern tragedy. What an asshole and such a whiner. |
|
Maybe that's what Phil Graham was talking about.

11. I'm not sure we'll ever know |
|
the circumstances of his leaving his chairmanship. But I believe it will be a balance between the Democratic leadership not wanting to appear hard-assed and Lieberman maximizing his own political interests to the fullest extent possible. In other words, our own public vindication will be limited and very, very unsatisfying.
