I was glad to see Obama smile today
the pictures since Wednesday mostly did not show him smiling and i must admit i worry about him as he takes on a job with seemingly insurmountable problems to solve all while wackos threaten to harm him and his family.

2. He has a great smile, and I worry about his safety as well
It's tragic that he won't be able to be as open as he's used to being, that he's not going to be able to do the meet and greet stuff that even President Clinton still did after entering the WH, and that he's not going to be able to really have a normal family life with his children.

EVERYTHING now will involve him being surrounded by TONS of Secret Service, everything will now have to take place indoors, he's going to be shut off, simply to protect him from racist nutjobs.

It's a shame.

6. I've been thinking these last 2 days that
the sacrifices he's making to be our President are enormous.

Unlike the guy currently defiling the White House, who had everything handed to him on a silver platter and fucked it all up recklessly... Barack Obama fought tooth and nail for everything, earned everything, and has to sacrifice a lot to lead this great nation.

That tells me he's going to be one of the, if not the, best damn President we've ever had.

9. Yes, he's going to have no life really
Which is a shame, he, unlike W, seems to love meeting people and talking with them, President Obama is like President Clinton in that way, he's a people person.

3. And let's not forget about his grandmother-------------
He has not had time to grieve- poor baby! That is very, very tough. No matter how strong you are, all of this is a lot to take on. And so it begins......and it is what it is, the Presidency of the USA. Watch over our President-elect.

4. BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA IS A
whole new sort of president, he is so genuine, so communicative, humble yet proud when he needs to be, and he was able to interject a perfect amount of humor today.

For the longest time I've thought of him as approaching JFK in these qualities but I'm increasingly convince that he exceeds all presidents including Kennedy in his human quality and his ability to come across as both serious and human.

Awesome!

7. Nice smile. I think he wanted to keep it serious the past couple of days.
That said, he tries to keep positive.
