Obama Malware Hits Inboxes-private information-stealing malware

Obama-related e-mails are flooding inboxes -- and be careful which ones you open.

For example, e-mails with a subject line like "Obama win preferred in world poll" being sent by addresses like "[e-mail]" come carrying a piece of private information-stealing malware, as malicious software is known.

Attached in the e-mails is a video or a link to a video of Barack Obama's victory speech.

On Obama's YouTube channel (virus-free, but often filled with videos that go viral), that speech has been viewed more than 2 million times since it was uploaded yesterday. The malware was designed by someone looking to scam that big audience, comfortable as it is with plugging private financial details into Web sites to make purchases or even political donations.
