Here are some of the newspaper headlines throughout the state. Finally, my vote counted and mattered in a presidential election.

As a native born North Carolinian I am thrilled. As a black woman, I am still overwhelmed with emotions. Yes we can and yes we did.

I'm sure Harvey Gant is still walking around with a big smile on his face.

The RT is a very right wing that is published by a so call Libertarian. Their one mission is make evil all things Democratic and liberal. They have had such a hard time getting ad revenue the Charlotte version has had to go to online only.

We've been collecting newspapers to preserve. Also, the Raleigh News & Observer has photos for sale and gifts (we bought a Christmans ornament with a picture of Obama's rally in Raleigh the day before the election).

Of course, I couldn't help but focus on the papers that did their best to ignore the outcome (how about the GOP keeping those commission seats...dayum), but they are few and far between.
