Rasmussen: 91% of Republicans have "favorable view" of Palin, 64% want her to run in 2012

Rasmussen Reports, in a new poll published Friday, has some interesting data on how Republicans still have overwhelming positive feelings about Palin:

Ninety-one percent (91%) of Republicans have a favorable view of Palin, including 65% who say their view is Very Favorable. Only eight percent (8%) have an unfavorable view of her, including three percent (3%) Very Unfavorable.

When asked to choose among some of the GOP's top names for their choice for the party's 2012 presidential nominee, 64% say Palin. The next closest contenders are two former governors and unsuccessful challengers for the presidential nomination this year -- Mike Huckabee of Arkansas with 12% support and Mitt Romney of Massachusetts with 11%.

Three other sitting governors - Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, Charlie Crist of Florida and Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota - all pull low single-digit support.

It was a thing of beauty to see his reaction!

Just concede now and let Obama serve two terms. Maybe eight years will be enough time for them to get their heads out of their asses.

8. I've not heard that from any Republicans I know
That's strange. I have spoken with Republicans who were going to vote for McCain until he picked Palin. I'd like to see another poll before I believe those results.

The smarter Republicans probably consider themselves as Independents now. Did you look at the party affiliation numbers after the election?

18. Same thing I heard, too, when speaking with die hard Repukes.......
that I know who were so pissed about "Scale-in" as the choice for McCu$h's running mate and were NOT going to vote for that ticket. As much as I despise this conceded ignorant cheerleader and her grating voice, I would dearly LOVE for this moron to run in 2012! The results would be two-fold.....yet, another assist to our presidency and even more congressional seats won....and more hilarious entertainment; another "Comedy Tour Revisited" as was the case this year as the "Sonny and Cher" want-to-be's toured the nation's cities and took turns shooting themselves in the foot for our enjoyment.

On a serious note, WHAT the hell is this fascination with this woman? I'll never understand the hype! If it is for the reason that she is a female {obviously chosen to get the Hilary supporters on board} then again, I still don't get it. Had Barack chosen Hilary as his running mate, everyone knows the gloves would have come off and she would have torn Caribou Barbie to shreds, exposing her for the stupid fraud that she is.

16. Leave it to Rasmussen to put out a poll that shows Palin so popular. Funny how for the first time
everyone in the MSM (not only Faux) is citing this poll as accurate. But if it IS true, I SOOO look forward to debates between Palin and Obama in '12! :D

24. Telling statistic
0.1% are the Reich Oligarchs and Gauleiters (the Inner Party)

8.9% are the local Partei apparatchiks (the Outer Party).

And 91% are the proles.

Unfortunately for the Oligarchs, it will take a number of months of propaganda (including large payments to the propaganda bureau's mouthpieces on AM radio) to reprogram the proles. Alas, a cost of 'doing business'.

26. We could make our own luck.
Just as the GOP publicly and privately backed Hillary Clinton, we can do the same for Mrs. Palin. We can keep her name in the mix for much longer if we allow some Democrats to denounce her (which encourages right-wing authoritarians to believe she must be a good candidate) while simultaneously supporting her by mentioning her name often and maybe even throwing up some Astroturf websites.

Palin is the perfect Republican candidate, if you ask me. She's shallow, ignorant, narcissistic, vengeful, and is virtually guaranteed to be even more ineffective than the current President. She has all of Shrub's stupidity and perhaps even greater incompetence, and now she has an established record as a loser.

She has my full support in 2012.

28. I think this is because moderate Republicans are jumping ship.
By 2012 only the Freepers and fundies will be left, and Palin will be crushed in the general election.
The tighter they cling to her, the more they strangle the GOP.

If they were to put her up for election, it would be their worst defeat ever and the party would be doomed for a generation. Trust me, the GOP will not make that mistake.
