So what do you think will become of the Presidential Prayer Team?
This group was formed not long after 9/11 to pray for Bush. But they always pray for Bush to succeed and win. I wonder what type of prayers they will offer our new president.

Have a look:

1. well they should be getting their attorneys lined up to defend the malpractice suits coming

By any conceivable measure (effective policy or winning the election) they didn't get the outcome that they were praying for.

2. If I had just been elected to the biggest job on the planet,
I'd be grateful to anyone who would pray for me to do well at it.

3. Prayers for Obama, unity of the country and cooperation among citizens

Sounds good to me. I don't disagree with their prayers for Obama. I welcome any who express good will for him and the country.

Pray for our country’s new President Elect, Barack Obama, as he now moves forward with plans, opening his transition office and naming his chief of staff today.

Pray for unity in our nation as we now prepare for the future under the leadership of President Elect Obama. Pray for a spirit of reconciliation and sincere, supportive cooperation among citizens of every persuasion, so we may see effective leadership and healing in America.

4. If the team is partisan, which I suspect, disband it. Separate church and state.
