2. That's the two party tally
It does seem that about 1% scattered among Bob Barr (Lib-nutjob), Ralph Nader (Ind-assclown) and Cynthia McKinney (G-wackjob).

3. Among all votes
Obama has 52.6% while McCain has 46.1% with the rest for others. Obama leads by 6.5% and that rounds up to 7% as well.

6. In other words, NO "Bradley effect" nationally...
Edited on Sat Nov-08-08 08:13 PM by regnaD kciN
...as 6.51% is almost midway between Nate Silver's projection of a 6.1% margin, and the Pollster, RCP, etc. projected margin of around 7.4%.

It might be interesting, however, to compare projections and results on a state-by-state basis, to see if some states had a Bradley effect, while others had a "reverse-Bradley effect" with Obama performing above expectations (Indiana immediately springs to mind on that one -- perhaps there were a number of small-town types who would never admit they were voting for an African-American, but, in the privacy of the voting booth...).
