Palin's aide was just on Inside Edition. She did not refute that Palin said Africa was a country.
Instead she said that Palin was really tired when she said that and it was during debate prep. Don't ask me why I have this trash show on; a football game just ended.

1. She actually confirmed it
Nobody has picked up on it but I heard her response.

She said "Africa the country v. Africa the continent."

She didn't know Africa was a continent for she still labels it a country.

2. Of course sarah thinks Africa a country.
She doesn't know what the bush doctrine is and she thought the bailout was about job creation. She thinks the VP position is to preside over the senate.

Palin could be a formidable contender once she finishes her GED in politics, world geography and history.

7. You're so right. It's appalling that she came so close to the Presidency.

10. as sad sally says right below us - they should have to pass a basic text
or at least show the results of a test, if not having to 'pass' one, at least we know if they know their geography and civics....

scary that Palin, in Sept., if she played her cards right (and didn't speak) and they didn't go so negative on Obama and McCain didn't say the fundamentals line, that she'd be our future president if he passed in office, which he is pretty old, so wow... scary. she's soooooo ignorant, and what I guess you call a functional-illiterate. She can read things but doesn't understand them well, and obviously didn't care to learn too much while in school.

8. Think of all the tests people have to pass before they get jobs.
Doesn't it seem reasonable that in 2008, maybe candidates for National positions - such as President and Vice President should be tested to make sure they've got the right stuff? Especially if there's some doubt that they're smart enough, for example, Lame Duck Bush should have had to take that test!

11. Ain't that much tired in the world.
You could wake me up in the middle of the night from a dead sleep and I'd be able to tell you that Africa is a continent.
