A message from the Dem Senate Candidate from Georgia: This election is not over!
Edited on Sat Nov-08-08 09:28 PM by usregimechange
I can't thank you enough for your support. Georgians turned out in record numbers on Election Day, and a majority of them voted to reject Saxby Chambliss and the failures of Washington to stand up for the middle class. We couldn't have done it without you.

Now we're headed to a runoff, and we need you to redouble your efforts if we're going to win on December 2nd, because this race is going to be about helping President-elect Barack Obama get our economy back on track and making the economy work for the middle class again.

America has elected Barack Obama President, and now is the time for us to help him succeed. Saxby Chambliss has promised to do everything he can to stop Barack Obama from succeeding. We face the biggest challenges of the past 60 years - let's work together to solve them. In the Senate I'll do what's best for Georgia, what's best for this country, and what's best for the middle class who've been ignored the past eight years.

I hope that you'll join me today.

1. Here is a link to request a Ga. Absentee Ballot if you feel you won't
be abl;e to vote in the runoff! PLEASE, PLEASE spend a First Class Stamp (of $00 if you can fax your application!) to make sure we have a BIG TURNOUT for this runoff election! We've GOT to get rid of Saxby!!!!

19. I looked on the State's website to find out if I can do the advance voting in person without casting
something online or over a fax or in the mail.

I want to make sure that the vote is counting in the usual course of things as opposed to having it be set aside until the day of.

I have no idea whether turn out will be high or low. I just know I will vote.

6. So we should just give up?
Are you kidding me?

Look, Handell is not angel in my eyes, and she has done as much as she could to disenfranchise us, but --- it isn't working.

And it doesn't mean we should just give up... Jeez.

We need to win this seat back for Max, For Jim and for the SENATE!

8. Why do you think all the votes weren't counted? I voted absentee, and
the Ga. Sec. of States web site has a link where you can verify your vote. NOT who you voted for, but that your vote was counted.

5. Please DU... give this one the love you are giving to Al Franken
We really can do this.

Alaska is looking good according to Nate Silver:
http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2008/11/uncounted-votes-may-push-begich-past.html

and things ARE looking very good for Al Franken based on the things I have been reading here and around the innertubes...

Jim needs money. This REALLY can happen. More than 50% said NO to Saxby, now we need to GOTV for the runoff...

Please, help us out here in Georgia!

11. This GA race is HUGE. If we can win this, it will show the power of the new Obama coalition.
If Chambliss trounces Martin due to low turn-out among democrats, then, people are going to dismiss the 2008 election as a fluke, and that the people came out only for Obama. That will undermine Obama's "mandate."
