Hypo-Allergenic puppy search solved: from Answers.com - The Afghan Hound!
"coat (hair) does not shed and is the same pH as human hair creating no dander"

http://www.answers.com/topic/hypoallergenic.

As an added bonus, it's personality matches the new chief of staff, even more than a pitt bull.

I once won a radio contest-

Which of all dogs is the least intelligent?

The Afghan;-)

But, they are so beautiful! I just love them.

4. I agree. Dumb as a box of rocks
And I'm a lapidary, so I have great affection for rocks.

Afghan hounds just really aren't very bright.

16. Afghans are the perfect apartment dweller pet....
They are so stupid they forget you exist when you step out the door!

We had one when I was a kid. Really a very nice dog to look at, but not much else. My understanding
is that they were bred by the Egyptians to hunt lions. They would lose numerous dogs on a lion hunt,
hence the need for a dog dumb enough to go after one.

LOL

6. Oh Gawd...NOT an Afgan hound.. they are beautiful, but
they are also among the world's least "intelligent" dogs...

they are "jumpy", and require a LOT of grooming too...and hyperactive runners...

7. How about a Besenji?
A breed from Africa and no barking. They fall into the hypoallergenic group as well.

9. Think children here. Find the breeds that like kids and are great family dogs, then hypoallergenic

13. Can't do better than a Standard Poodle
Labradoodles & Goldendoodles can (and often do) have inherited hip dysplasia & eye problems that trend in the retriever inbreeding...Poodles hare a very hardy animal, and the larger ones do not have as many inbreeding issues as the ones bred for their "smallness"..

They are smart, friendly and love kids... and they do not need to have the elaborate haircuts they became known for.. a classic puppy-clip is all that's needed..and they come in many colors:)

19. Maltese. Definitely Maltese. And, I want the girls to get a puppy so it can bond to them.
Older dogs often only bond with the adult who cares for them.

They deserve a puppy. They can't solve the over population problem by getting one shelter dog, and it won't encourage very many people to do it, either.

People already know where they want to get a puppy from.
