1. Actually the difference now stands at 221

"The closest senate race in the country just got a little closer.

The number of votes separating Minnesota Republican Norm Coleman and challenger Al Franken shrunk to 221 from a high of more than 700 after Election Day out of 2.9 million ballots cast.

Franken, the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party candidate (essentially, the state chapter of the Democratic Party), gained 100 an additional votes Thursday when an election official in Pine County mistakenly typed in “24” votes for the former Saturday Night Live comedian instead of “124.”
Franken scored 200 more votes Wednesday when election officials in Buhl realized they hadn’t submitted results from Tuesday’s election."

2. Wow, how would Norm Coleman react if he was 221 points behind?
you think he'd do secret overnight legal actions to block votes from being counted?

5. ("Wow, how would Norm Coleman react if he was 221 points behind?") I think his eyes would pop out...
...seeing as that's statistically impossible :P

7. How the hell do election officials forget to submit results?
"Franken scored 200 more votes Wednesday when election officials in Buhl realized they hadn’t submitted results from Tuesday’s election."

Slipped their mind? Knew there was something they were supposed to be doing on Tuesday, but just couldn't remember what?

6. To be fair, there's hypocrisy on Franken's side, as well.
He was vocally against Democrats that were calling for a recount in 2004's general.

Mind you, I hope Franken wins. But I'm sure he's regretting his previous attitude.
