Let's pretend we're "scared" of Sarah Palin in 2012.
We all know Obama do an incredible thing with the head fake in Pennsylvania, getting the Governor of the state to say he was "nervous" about thate state. Truth is, Obama knew this would get his supporters pumped up and into overdrive so he wouldn't have to pour any extra time or money into the state--his volunteers would take care of it. And it forced McCain to pump incredible amounts of money into the state, with him and Palin spending valuable campaign time in a state that they couldn't tell was all but a lost cause for them.

He tricked them. And it worked.

Let's trick them again. Tell all your Republican friends that you're afraid of Sarah Palin being the nominee in 2012.

Let's pretend we don't think we can beat her.

You know why? We can. We'll crush her.

And then when the Republicans flock to her because they think we're "scared" of her, I urge all DUers to vote for her if your state has open primaries, and let's set up an easy victory for President Obama in 2012!

2. Much as we have 4 years to define Palin
The Rethuglican has 4 years to work their fucked up brand of magic defining her to their image. We will see a much more polished Palin in 2011.

We shouldn't be scared of her, but save the links, the articles, the videos. She'll get a big makeover in the coming months.

6. Palin is trapped into a high floor low ceiling

She will find entry into the primaries very enticing because she will start with 38% of the Republican vote. After strenuous campaigning she will peak at 41%. 38% looks high when there are 5 candidates 41% looks low when you have 2.

you're posting in a thread about Palin and 2012.

10. The hardcore operatives in the GOP , IMO, are not going to
let a flirtatious moron like Sarah Palin anywhere near the party's 2012 nomination.

But I like the headfake idea.

And you really think they wouldn't let another unqualified moron get the nomination again?

Ask George W. about that.

20. Those operatives got whomped this cycle, and whomped good.
The woman is a complete idiot.

If Obama's 1st term is successful, no GOP challenge will defeat his re-election.

As I've posted elsewhere, I think Romney and Palin are in the hunt for the GOP nomination no matter what, owing to their ambition and self-importance.

But I don't think that translates to wide support in Palin's case among the Puke power elite.

She\\\'s the reason why many right-wing newspaper columnists supported the Democrats. They hate her, independents hate her, everyone hates her.
