RW fears prosecution "witch hunt" of Bush Administration
Edited on Sun Nov-09-08 03:14 PM by lamprey
Biden Verifies the Witch Hunt
http://www.plumbbobblog.com/?p=1128

I'm not holding out that much hope here. Senator Kerry's BCCI investigation went nowhere, but I was interested that Joe's relatively innocuous remarks about "no one ... no President is about the law" set RW feelers twitching.

They have nothing to hide, right?

The most encouraging thing Biden said was "we will not be estopped", meaning an intention to contest claims of outgoing executive privilege.

1. Don't care about witches - just locking up all the criminals will suit me.

3. It's criminal prosecution that 'bob the plumber' is worried about.

2. Absolutely goddamn right!
If they haven't done anything wrong, they have nothing to fear. As they've told us these past eight years, they're innocent as newborn babes, right?

5. I guess that will be up to President Obama's new DOJ.
And if Bush pardons everyone, there is still the world war crimes court. Am I a bad person to want to see all these fuckers hunted down like the Nazi criminals were?

10. The decision to proscute does. The committee investigations are on going.
Biden: we are putting together the data.

12. Nope!
I think that if the truth comes out it will be even more chocking than anytone would believe. I think the corruption is so perverse that the DOJ and the administration will have to pick and choose what to reveal to the public because the backlash against the Repugs could be really bad.

8. The media and the Democrats will be talking of
healing. I don't expect any charges to be brought against Bush administration officials. The Democrats lack the media echo chamber and the balls to do anything about the Bush administration's many wrongs.

the magnitude of the offenses,

11. Well since the Repugs entered into the realm of
spying and investigating normal average Americans for simply opposing their view and their supporters said it was okay because if you have done nothing wrong then it shouldn't matter if you are spied on or not.

Well it stands to reason if the Repugs have nothing to hide and they committed no crimes during the last eight years then they should have absolutely nothing to worry about!Right? :sarcasm:

15. they should be afraid, after everything they have done. but, it isn't a "witch hunt"
it is a search for justice, something we haven't seen much of during the bush years.

19. Actually BCCI did go somewhere - it went into the historic record. And THAT'S why we KNOW about it
Edited on Sun Nov-09-08 06:06 PM by blm
and why so many of us want its matters revisited and examined by an OPEN and ACCOUNTABLE government body with access to long needed information being facilitated by a cooperative president - now THAT'S what I call REAL CHANGE.

And you want to know WHY we were even able to SEE the Aug 6, 2001 PDB memo about Bin Laden? Because of precedent set when Kerry doggedly kept taking Bush1 to court to GET documents released he had been withholding by claiming privilege.

EVERY bit of accountability helps....and don't EVER sell even a crumb of it short.
