is all the Republican navel-gazing. I don't know if it's just where I live (Dallas) or what, but I'm pretty damn sick of all the Republican whining and navel-gazing grabbing all the space in the paper. The ENTIRE op-ed section of the Dallas Morning News today was given over to local and state Republicans moaning about what went wrong, blah blah blah.

Hey why not shut the fuck up for like two hot seconds, ya douchenozzles? It's like they're such HUGE narcissists they can't fucking STAND to be out of the spotlight for even half a day. Or an hour.

I understand and respect Obama's position. Actually it's the more mature one--he isn't just the president for Democrats. And all that divisive shit the Republicans pulled only, well, divided us. So I'm down with Hopey's stuff.

But when are these gotdamned stupid fucking Republicans gonna shut their self-pitying yaps for the love of puppies and kittens? Shut the fuck up. Shut. The. Fuck. Up. No one cares. You're a white, religious, regional party now----go off and figure out how to fix it in the POLITICAL WILDERNESS for a while. We don't need to witness your national therapy session.

What dingleberries. So anyway, Hopey! Yay! :)

1. Oh and just for the record, I'd be a HORRIBLE president.
I could not rise above shit. I would be all "would you sit down and shut the fuck up, you already asked like seven gotdamned questions, let someone else have a turn, you asswipe."

No, that would not be good.

2. Living in a red state that just went blue, I suffered with 8 years of
'get over it' while people's children were dying in Iraq. Not sure I want to be gracious.

It's hard to sit back and not get angry when someone tells you that 'if only there was no war, I think the military would be great for Wes, but you know, there's a war' when said person and husband voted for fuckhead twice.

Better to send the Dems kids to their deaths, I guess? Or the poor?

It makes me sick.

6. When someone is overanalyzing personal issues.
It's fine if they want to overanalyze shit privately but I'm sick of it being all over TV and the papers.

9. Do we really want to be gracious
Edited on Sun Nov-09-08 08:18 PM by MichaelHarris
when we read crap like this on a mainstream news website? From the Fox News website:

The first thing that Obama is going to do is take down the Statue of Liberty and put up a statue of Aunt Jemima

Mothers unite against Obama! He is trying to force our children into his Marxist civilian army. Hitler did this - they were called the "brown shirts"

I'm not ready to play nice

11. i'm for humoring and then marginalizing them for now.
i am always to polite and civil to people in life also nicing them to death also works because it pisses them off.

That's about 8000 times better than i have gotten from republicans over the past 8 years including the few in my extended family.

13. I am NOT gracious. And I don't care!
Edited on Sun Nov-09-08 09:08 PM by tblue
Since Dec. 12, 2000, I have suffered along with my country. In fact, since 1994 when the Repubs took over Congress and rode Bill Clinton's back for 6 years, we've had to endure their nonstop arrogance and denigration. And now they want us to be -- what? -- gracious????? Screw them. No mercy. I don't feel a need to be hurtful, but I actually ENJOY rubbing their noses in some "I told you so" doo-doo! They don't like it? TOO BAD!

16. It's the Elisabeth Hasslebeck syndrome

There are all types of Democrats, from the Republican-lite portion all the way to the socialists. The Republicans turned into 25% of the country supporting the top 1% along with their illegal wars and bankrupt morals. I would be for forgiving a lot of these people as long as they do not try to rewrite history. We need to change the very essence of our economy. That's what right leaning Democrats need to realise. Unless you are proud of living under military and corporate oppression, force the change. Make it easier for Obama to be our Gorbachev. He won't make history unless we the people help lead him there. Give him the mandate to outlaw electronic machines. Give him the mandate for hand counted paper ballots. We should do it like Canada. You could create jobs by ensuring the sanctity of our elections, all of them, everywhere, top to bottom. Outlaw war.

Keep hope alive, but make sure Obama turns the wheel left. Let's have those jackasses in the other party forced into making more humanistic decisions thank you very much.

I think it was just too big a romp by Obama for them to cheat this time. If it were closer, then McCain would be president. Keep the pressure on. Move the country far left, as in more peace and justice. You know it.
