Something strange happened the other day during the Obama press conference.
A man was talking to the American people, speaking english and making sense. But that's not all. My blood pressure didn't start rising. I wasn't overcome with feelings of disgust and despair. I didn't automatically reach for the remote to change the chanel. It was weird.

Have a happy next 4 years!

3. What will we do during the SOTU now?
We can't get tanked every time Obama says "nucular".

It might be good now.

5. We can drink a glass of champagne at the end of it...
or, if we're determined to be morose, we can have a drink every time the press deliberately misinterprets what President Obama (doesn't that sound good?) says.

2. Yes.
We no longer will witness the stupidity of George Bush and the failure of the national media to call him out on it.

6. I saw it too. It was amazing and just like you I didn't have to
immediately change the channel from sheer disgust.

Competence is back. How cool is that.

8. And it didn't sound like Obama was
reading from the "Dick and Jane" books from my childhood....

"See Spot run. See Jane run. Jump Spot! Jump Jane!"

OK, so Dubya's target audience (first graders and beer-soaked brains...often the same thing in some areas) had its eight years of Glory.

Now it's time to get back to proper English and a president who actually looks like he was chosen by rational human beings...
